Our Story

The Hallora Marathon Festival was established in 2015 by Daniel, the event's president, as a way to raise funds for Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre; a cause close to his heart.

The idea for the event was inspired by Daniel’s friend Sarah, who was diagnosed with leukemia and spent a significant amount of time at Peter Mac during her recovery. Daniel’s Pa was also diagnosed with the disease, and passed away, after suffering prostate cancer.

These personal experiences, along with the stories of many others, have driven the ongoing commitment to host the Hallora Marathon Festival each year. We aim is to raise funds that can provide people like Sarah and Daniel's Pa with the best possible treatment, helping them live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

We are a proud not-for-profit community event, promoting engagement and physical activity, whilst aising much needed funds for Peter Mac Cancer Centre.
